You Gerk!

“Mom, you need to yell at Will. He’s acting like a total jerk…a jerk with a capital “G”! Jay-8

He said it with such conviction that I didn’t have the heart to correct him. In fact, it’s certainly possible that he might be on to some new urban trend here in the suburbs. Maybe “Gerk with a capital G” can be added to the list of urban favorites used among suburban boys, who can’t dance and don’t have a clue. Words, such as cuz, boyz, dat, dawg, phat, wassup, wuddup and wit.  Wud da ya think?

Look at “new math” and you’ll understand how jerk can be spelled with a G – makes perfect sense to me.

Our youngest daughter had a severe “Cindy Brady” lisp for a couplea years. You had to listen very carefully when she was a toddler. A restaurant that she used to like was called “Royal Fork” but when she’d pronounce it, it came out as “YallowF_ck”. You can imagine my Mother-in-laws expression as Macy ran around the room yelling “YallowF_ck!! YallowF_ck!!”. A translation was quickly supplied. (I think this is a blog idea for me. CRAP!!)
