It’s All Fun And Games Until…

“Time out, Jay! That’s a penalty. No biting. The score is 2-1.”

“Wait a second, Will! You choked me. I was just defending myself. Plus, you used your hands. Penalty on you. Score’s now 1-1.”

“Sorry, Jay. I was trying a new move, the choke was an accident. Ready?    Score’s 1-1. Now, this round no spitting and try not to kick my face…  it hurts my canker sore. ”

Will-10 & Jay-8

It’s all fun and games until someone gets kicked in the canker sore.

  2. There is always seem to be something totally accidental… I step on the dog BY ACCIDENT, I ate all the chocolate BY ACCIDENT, add to this innocent eyes and a look of sheer surprise and you will have the picture of my kid’s favorite way of explaining mishaps 🙂

Sha’woo. I was afraid my two boys were the only ones to have the above conversation. Though I’m not sure the choking move was an accident.

It’s fun UNTIL someone gets hurt? Dang – I thought it was fun only IF someone got hurt. Sure would explain our yearly “going back to school” photos of my sister and me. Not a year where we weren’t bandaged and bruised.
Then again, this was our first house, where I walked to school. Missed that crucial “bus oracle” until 5th grade……
